The EU might “respond swiftly and decisively” against what it deems “unwarranted” visa bans imposed by the US against five Europeans involved in fighting digital hatred and misinformation, a European Commission spokesperson has said.

European Leaders Decry US Action as ‘Intimidation’

Officials from Europe such as Emmanuel Macron charged the US administration of “coercion and intimidation”, following the travel bans targeted individuals that were central to efforts to introduce legislation regulating American tech companies.
